Sunny Days

Last week was crazy.  Lots of work.  Lots of exhaustion.  This week, I can feel the sun.  Not literally, because it is still pouring every day in Oregon, but I can breathe.

This morning I took some time to dive into the Let it Rain devotional that Angeline and I collaborated on last week.    See my previous post here.  A week ago, I started reflecting in my travelers notebook, but today I wanted to dive into my journaling Bible.  I read through Genesis 8 and focused on the end of Noah’s time in the ark.

“But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided.”  Genesis 8:1-2

The rain stopped.  God hadn’t forgotten Noah and his family.  God hasn’t forgotten us either.  He has sunny days coming right around the corner.

I used some of the printables from Dots and Dust.  I attempted to imitate some of the patterns in the little rain boot with the laurels.  The little black dots were my version of “rain.”  I also added two pieces of watercolor patterned washi tape from Jo-Anns that matches the color scheme.
