Date of event: Friday, July 16-Saturday, July 17, 2021

For those of you who don’t know, Creative Faith is not my full time job. I actually work at a church running the youth program and doing a lot of our communications. I have worked there since June of 2016.

Our church has participated in the 30 Hour Famine in 2014, 2015 and 2019. We are excited to jump in, learn about hunger, and raise money to help support kids and families in the world. Jesus calls us to be HIS hands and feet, loving and supporting the least of these.

I love this event because it brings us closer together as a youth group. It’s a honor and privilege to lead these wonderful youth as we feel a bit of what it is like to be hungry in the world. It helps us be grateful for the many blessings we do have, while raising awareness and having fun.

I wanted to create a FREE printable for you all to use to document prayers and Bible pages as you reflect on the hunger crisis in the world and ask the Lord what He wants you to do about it? Is He calling you to sponsor a child through World Vision? Does He want you to host your own 30 Hour Famine event at your church? Is He wanting you to lift up my church and our youth group in prayer during the event? Or perhaps He is calling you to give up a Starbucks and donate even just $5 to help our youth group raise $3,000.

The free printable has 2 pages of patterned papers that I created. It has one page full of phrases and Bible verses. It comes with a page of my famous MUGS to remind you to thirst for more of Jesus, and remember the fact that many people in the world don’t have access to clean drinking water. It also comes with a page of 3×3 inch verse cards.

You can use these elements to do some Scripture writing. You could also make a prayer journal page for World Vision or our 30 Hour Famine event. I plan to use it in my journaling Bible, too.

Did you know that 1 in every 10 people in the world do not have enough to eat?!

98% of these people live in developing countries.  Some live at the mercy of hunger crises like the one that struck East Africa.  Others have been forced from their homes, scraping by with that they can find.  Still more find themselves caught in a cycle of poverty and hunger, neither of which they can escape.

But when we come together, there’s hope.  30 years ago, 36% of people in the world lived in extreme poverty. Today, only 10% do.

Just $40 will help feed and care for a child for a month!  All you have to do is click one of the orange buttons below to give your gift! Your gift is tax-deductible.
