What is New Hope?

New Hope is a safe house and workshop in the Dominican Republic, pouring into the lives of girls and women, giving them HOPE when there was none. They are a light in a dark place, providing a safe home for girls, as well as an honorable way to work for women in the community.

How am I connected to this ministry?

Back in 2014 I hopped on an airplane after graduating college and headed to the Dominican Republic.  One of the families I taught while living there started an organization and ministry called New Hope, with the goal of creating a refuge and restoring the lives of girls in the Dominican Republic.  As I was living there, I got many opportunities to go to New Hope and visit.

One day when I was visiting, we went for a walk and played in a nearby park. I would bring games and crafts to do with the girls.  One day our home school group got to go paint the building that would become the new home for the girls.  I’ve had the opportunity to even teach Bible journaling classes to the girls.

Their stories broke my hearts.  Several of my friends worked at New Hope and we would spend hours praying over the girls and the caretakers.  My heart broke for their home lives; oftentimes their own families putting them in unsafe situations in order to earn money.  I saw light and love in the middle of darkness through serving with New Hope.

Back in 2018, I began to pray about Giving Tuesday. I felt a nudge on my heart that God wanted me to do to use Creative Faith to serve Him more. I have adopted New Hope as our Creative Faith ministry. In 2019 I had my first profitable year for the business, and I was able to donate 10% of Creative Faith profits back to New Hope! Your Creative Faith purchases are helping save lives in another country. How amazing is that?!

We Need Your Help!

Every dollar raised now until the end of the year will be matched up to $75,000. These funds will be used to continue the work of the Lord. Donations are tax-deductible. Click HERE to donate!

God calls us to help and serve those around us who need it the most. Please consider helping New Hope.

What can you do to help?

  1. Give Generously: Consider supporting New Hope financially, either through a one time gift, or you can set up a reoccurring monthly gift. Even $5-10 makes a huge difference!

  2. Purchase with a Purpose: Consider purchasing Christmas and birthday gifts from the workshop. The women at the workshop create beautiful bags, pouchespurses, costmetic/pencil pouches and more! They even sell t-shirts which are great gifts for guys, too. Click HERE to shop everything!
  3. Pray Passionately: No matter your financial state, you can help by praying for New Hope! New Hope needs prayer warriors, fighting on their knees for light in the darkness. See the free printable I created below for ideas on how to pray specifically for them.

Free Printables:

In 2018 and in 2020 I created free printables that you can use to help you pray and remember the women and girls in the Dominican Republic who need your help and support.

The 2020 printable comes with the phrase “praying for” with different ways to finish the sentence including: new hope, light in the darkness, joy, trust, God’s provision, protection, etc. It also has the phrase “I will” as you think and pray about how God wants you to help and support this ministry.
