2022 Year in Review

I love looking back and reflecting on the year! Grab a journal or a piece of paper, and you can do this same activity! Write down each month of the year and some highlights and big moments or your favorite small moments of what happened. Click HERE for some free printables on praying for the new year and reflecting on the current year!

January:

  • Trip to central Oregon for New Year’s: Loved kicking of the year with snow and fun family time!
  • Launched Produce in Me/Fruit of the Spirit Scripture writing plan: I did not end up finishing this Scripture writing plan, but I have goals and hopes to finish it in 2023! Click HERE to see the printables I’ve made so far.
  • Launched Wellness Journaling/Planning online course: This was so fun and really helped me focus on my health and wellness in 2022. Unfortunately, in August when we started house hunting, my focus switched. The last half of the year I felt like I was in survival mode, barely making it through each week with packing and moving and getting settled while working. I am looking forward to a slower paced life in 2023 where I can focus on my wellness journey again. Click HERE to learn more about this online course.

February:

  • Changed from full time to part time work at the church: From September 2016 through January 2022, I worked full time at my church, often putting in 50–60-hour weeks. I was in charge of youth ministry, church communications, and I also did a lot of work in the children’s ministry area, too. In 2021 my husband got his green card and was able to work. He was also putting in 60+ hour weeks. We realized it was not sustainable for us to both be working so many hours and alternate schedules where we hardly had any time together. Starting February 2022 my role switched to part time communications manager. I now work Monday-Thursday, eight hours a day at the church. It has been a great change for our family.
  • Turned 30 years old!
  • 2nd anniversary trip to the beach
  • Free pray for your husband challenge: It is SO important that we pray for our spouses! I have a free 14-day challenge I like to do each February around Valentine’s Day to encourage women to be praying for their husbands. Click HERE to download the printable.
  • Saved by Grace Scripture writing collection: This beautiful challenge for Lent was so much fun to put together. I LOVE the floral design. It’s by grace that we are saved! Grace was my word of the year for 2022, and God taught me so much about this word. Click HERE to download the printable. Click HERE for the coordinating verse cards.

March:

  • Family vacation to Maui: This was our first big family vacation! My sister got married in September 2019, and I got married in February 2020. The four of us plus my parents went to Maui for a week. So many special memories were made! You can click HERE to see my vlog from that trip.

April:

  • 1st trip back to the Dominican Republic since December 2019: With my husband’s immigration situation, we were not able to leave the United States for quite a while. Finally, in April 2022 we went back to visit them in the Dominican Republic. It was SUCH a full and special trip. You can click HERE to watch the vlog I made of the trip and see what we did.

May:

  • Free printable: National Day of Prayer: The first Thursday in May is always National Day of Prayer! I LOVE praying, and it is such an important part of our walk with the Lord. Click HERE to download the free printable to help you pray. Click HERE to see more prayer journaling resources.
  • Pausing for His Peace kit launch: The first physical kit I made in 2022. This kit is sort of a sequel to my Rest in Him kit. I really loved writing the content for it and working through the devotions. You can click HERE to see a blog post round up of all the resources to go along with this kit.

June:

  • Created and launched my first digital planner: This was something so different. I love my paper planners, but I purchased an online course about how to make a digital planner. I really loved the process, and I cannot wait to make more in 2023. Click HERE to purchase my floral digital planner. Click HERE to watch a video about it.

July:

  • Maverick City concert: This was my first concert with my husband. We had a blast singing and praising the Lord.
  • Menu/meal planner launch: I am SO proud of how these planners turned out! They are such a great resource to help with meal planning. I created tons of pages in the beginning of the planner with meal ideas. I also had never seen a meal planner with a spot to list what you actually already have in your fridge, freezer, pantry and cupboards. Click HERE to watch a YouTube video about them.
  • Fort Stevens Camping trip: This was SUCH a fun trip! It was my first time camping since I was in middle school. We explored Astoria, Oregon. I cannot wait to go camping again.

August:

  • Juan got a promotion from apprentice to junior lead HVAC installer! While this was an exciting change, it also brought a lot more responsibility and stress on my husband, creating stress in our marriage, too. Working through this change was hard, but this situation helped us lean on the Lord.
  • What to do when you don’t know what to do Scripture writing plan: This was my most popular printable from 2022! It was written from the heart, and I pray God uses it to help you through a challenging situation. Click HERE to download it.
  • Launched Sunshine & Jesus Time devotion kit: Click HERE for a blog post round up with links and resources and videos from this kit!
  • Started house hunting! Our apartment rent increased by a LOT, and we realized this was God pushing us to take a big leap of faith. We had started saving for a down payment, but we were not sure if it would be possible. God opened up the door for us to get the CUTEST home. You can watch an empty house tour video on my YouTube channel HERE.
  • My external drive with ALLLL my Creative Faith documents, videos, files, etc. failed. I hadn’t backed it up since February, so everything I created February through August 2022 is lost. It was extremely sad and challenging to deal with that devastation.

September:

  • Fall floral gratitude & prayer journal kit: Click HERE for a blog post round up with links and resources and videos from this kit!

October:

  • Launched 4 Ps of Productive Planning online course: Click HERE to watch a video and learn more about the course. Click HERE to join this online course!
  • End of month: closed on our new house! This was SO EXCITING, and it was also very scary. I am thankful for the Lord’s provision through it all. We cannot wait to see what God is going to do in this space.
  • Psalms of Thanksgiving Scripture writing kit: This was by far my favorite kit I launched in 2022. I LOVE the book of Psalms. I managed to finish this kit, even in the midst of all the work cleaning, moving, and getting settled in our new house. Click HERE for a blog post round up with links and resources and videos from this kit! Click HERE to see a full flip through video of my journal.

November:

  • Moved into our new house!
  • Sold my car, got a new to me car: Stress on top of stress with moving and dealing with car stuff. Thankful again for God’s provision.
  • Year to Shine journals launch: I love how these journals turned out. Click HERE to watch a YouTube video about them!
  • Launched Creative Faith Christmas Club: This was a very fun but time-consuming project to make. It is a digital Advent calendar, with a new printable or video to “unwrap” each day from December 1-27. I also did my first ever LIVE Zoom calls with the Creative Faith Community who were a part of the club. Click HERE to learn more.
  • Birth of Jesus Scripture writing kit: I wanted something simple for Christmas that would help me get in God’s Word. Click HERE to learn more about this kit. Click HERE to see my full flip through video of how I worked through it.

December:

  • First edition of the FREE Creative Faith magazine: Click HERE to download it!
  • New Creative Faith planner launch: Click HERE to watch a YouTube video about the three new Creative Faith & Co. planners. I love how they turned out. They have a beautiful blooming floral theme.
  • Took time off Instagram. In December 2021 I took over three weeks off the Creative Faith Instagram page. This December I did the same. It is so nice to take a break from creating content. It also helps me to be more present with my family around the holidays. Click HERE to see my YouTube video from 2021 about this project/challenge.

In summary, 2022 was a year of massive change for my husband and I in regard to our job and living situations. It was a year of fun travel adventures. It was a year of investing in my wellness, transforming into a healthier version of me. It was a challenging year for Creative Faith & Co. I tried creating new things, which helped push and stretch me. God is still using this Creative Faith & Co. community, company, and ministry to touch people’s lives, and for that I am forever grateful.
