Produce in Me – Week 11

We have come to a bittersweet place…the end of the summer series over Galatians 5:22-23.  Eleven weeks of diving deeper into the Bible, studying God’s Word, getting creative in new ways, and learning and growing in the Lord.

This week we are learning how to put everything together in a yummy fruit salad.  We are reading about having deep, strong roots in God.  We are reflecting over the past 11 weeks and celebrating all God has taught us!

So far this week I have just spent some time in my traveler’s notebook and not in my Bible (yet!).  It was an amazing time reflecting on all God has taught me over the past 11 weeks.

I went hiking with my family over the weekend, and I was struck by all the tall, strong trees.  Many of their roots were peeking up along the trail, and it made me think of this class.

“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”  Jeremiah 17:8

I also used the flamingo (a gift from a lovely friend!  Yay for happy mail!) to represent the same idea – standing tall and strong with the strength and help of the Lord.

I also spent some time writing out the different topics we have studied each week.  Not only did I write them on the roots of the tree, but I also wrote them on this cute little journaling card.  I loved playing with watercolors to create the colorful background.  The washi tape added to the page, “Live a Colorful Life” is so perfect for this study.

My mom is always telling me to eat a colorful plate of fruits and veggies.  This is the same with the fruit of the Spirit.  We must eat a variety of all of them in order to live healthy spiritual lives.

What have you learned from the study?  What was your favorite week?  What were your favorite images?  (I still love those watermelon flip flops!)  I would love to know in the comments below!

Thanks again for joining us for this FREE class.  Did you enjoy the class?  Check out the Creative Faith Etsy store here and give us some love.
