Last week Creative Faith had its first workshop at Main Street Stamp and Stationery. We focused on gratitude. To open the class, we discussed how we show thankfulness in our lives. We talked about everything from blessing jars, to thank you notes, to showing acts of kindness and love to others as a way of thanking them for their hard work.
Then, we dove into using Gelatos. Check out my blog post here for 5 favorite ways to use Gelato markers. It was great to see how other people used the same technique in different ways. One participant used the straw blowing method and blew the blue paint all over two pages. Another participant took the same technique and created flowers. How creative!
After learning and trying out the different techniques on scrap paper, participants had the rest of class time to use the stamps, Gelatos, and materials included to create different pages in their gratitude journals expressing their thankfulness.
I loved how people took one another’s ideas and made it into their own. At the end of the class we shared some of the pages we created and what we learned during the class.
Did you miss out on the workshop? Don’t worry, we will have another one coming up on May 20th from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Save the date!
